Description

In the charming town of Grottaglie, where time moves slowly and the scent of freshly baked bread fills the air, you’ll step into a traditional kitchen where everything is made by hand and with heart.
Here, you’ll learn the secrets of Puglian home cooking, working with local flour, olive oil, and age-old recipes passed down through generations.

Each experience is different: depending on the day, you might prepare friselle, taralli, biscuits, focaccia, fresh pasta, or almond pastries, following traditional techniques and the natural rhythm of the kitchen.

You can choose between a 2-hour class, where you prepare and then enjoy your meal together, or a 4-hour version, which begins with a short walk to buy fresh vegetables, followed by cleaning, cooking, and sharing lunch as a true local experience.

At the end of the workshop, you can take home what you’ve made or sit down to enjoy it together in the warm atmosphere of the bakery.

Pricing

• 2-hour class: €25 per person (min. 2 people, max. 6)
• 4-hour class: €50 per person (min. 5 people, max. 6)

Starting time

Bread making is available only on Thursdays or on certain Sunday mornings, starting between 12:00 and 15:00.

Other cooking activities are also recommended on the same days, but availability may vary: contact us to confirm with the organizer each time.

How to book

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).

This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case of unfavorable weather, the organizer can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, will cancel it (with full refund).
