Description

Join a traditional cooking class in an authentic trullo in Ceglie Messapica, in the heart of the Apulian countryside.

The experience includes the preparation of three typical dishes based on orecchiette, which vary according to the season: traditional tomato sauce, turnip tops, or braciole. The class starts with the preparation of ingredients and sauces, then moves on to handmade pasta, where you will learn how to shape orecchiette, cavatelli, or other traditional local pasta types.

While the pasta is cooking, you will enjoy an aperitivo with frisa or acqua sala. During this time, you will also take part in a guided tour of the trullo, with historical and cultural insights into its structure and the family who once lived there.

The experience ends with a lunch or dinner, where you will taste all the dishes prepared together, in a relaxed and convivial setting.

Options are available for allergies, intolerances, and specific dietary requirements, including those related to religious needs.

A private option is also available, either in the trullo or directly at your accommodation. In the case of a private experience, the menu and the entire experience can be fully customized.

Depending on the chosen formula, the prices are:

  • €45 for children from 3 to 11 years old
• Private: €110 per person

Starting time

The experience lasts around 4 hours and 30 minutes, and it’s available in the following slots:

• Monday: at 17:00 (dinner)
• Wednesday: at 10:00 (lunch)
• Friday: at 10:00 (lunch)
• Saturday: available only in some cases (contact our team for more information)

The experience takes place in Ceglie Messapica. Further details about the location will be shared after booking.
For the private formula in your accommodation, the organizer can cover an area of around 150 km from Ceglie Messapica.

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).
