Fishing trip by boat in Taranto

Description

The fishing trip by boat with rod is suitable for everyone, both for experienced fishermen and for beginners. You will go out on a boat with a professional fisherman and a small group, and the technique used is “bolentino” (bottom fishing), with rod and reel, lead and hooks. Once you return, what you have caught will be yours: you can catch sea breams, and all those fish of the so-called “paranza”. If you have luck and skill, you will also find fish … much bigger. Ready for the challenge? In the off-season, a windbreaker is recommended, and remember to bring food and water with you.

*Costs 

The cost of the fishing trip is 70€ per person with a minimum of 4 participants, and 35€ for each additional person thereafter; this includes fishing activities, fuel, equipment, and bait. The catch remains yours! Anything not expressly specified is not included in the cost. A single participant may join existing groups if available. A special outing for just 1 or 2 participants is also possible, at a total cost of 280€.

Starting time

Fishing trips last from 4 to 5 hours or so, and usually start very early in the morning (around 6.00am). If the participants are the first to book, the time can be agreed with the Organizer. The exits take place all year round.

How to get there

The departure is from the old city of Taranto, or else another starting point is available just outside in the San Vito area. In the low season, some organizers may provide a free car ride to reach the starting point if out of town. Arrival 15 minutes early is recommended. After booking it will be possible to speak by phone for more details.

Language

Some organizers speak also English, while some speak only Italian or use translation devices. In any case, it will be easy to understand each other, and fun is guaranteed!

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
