Food tour in Bari

Description

Street food fan? In this tour we visit the center of Bari passing by all the typical places where the so-called “street food” is prepared, that is those delicious foods that the people of Bari consume by tradition: the focaccia from Bari, hot and crunchy at the right point, the panzerotto, with its exquisite filling of tomato and mozzarella, orecchiette, and much more. Depending on the days we will also be able to find fresh fish, in some cases we will taste the local ice cream … street food is like this, you have to seize the moment when the original is available, otherwise the rest are just imitations! We will make a journey of 4 stages, and in the end you will have tried the best of traditional street cuisine.

This activity is managed by multiple organizers, according to their availability, we will provide you with all the additional information when you contact us for the reservation.

Costs 

The cost is €40 per person for a minimum of 4 people (with less people, the price can change) and includes the tasting of local specialties in four different phases. In some cases it is possible to satisfy special requests: for example for fresh fish, the guides of the PlacenPeople community rely only on trusted suppliers. On days when this option is available, if requested, it may be necessary to travel from the city center, and therefore a total of 2 stops + the fish stop will be made. Children are counted as adults over 3 years old.

The price does not include any food products purchased for take-away or extras, which are optional upon request of the guests.

Starting time

The food tours take place both in the morning and in the afternoon. The times are communicated during the booking phase by the organizer, who will check the best route according to the opening times of the various stages.

How to get there

The whole route takes place on foot. The departure takes place in Bari in the center, near Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The organizer can suggest a different meeting point depending on the best route chosen, but always near the center of Bari. In the case of special requests from you, a stage may require a small trip out of the center; in this case the Organizer will suggest the best way to travel (sometimes even his own car). After booking it will be possible to speak by phone for more details.

The organizers speak English; Other langues are available on request with a small extra cost.

💳- You will pay a deposit with PayPal or card. Activities in PlacenPeople are sold directly by the Organizers.

👍- You and the Organizer will talk by phone and meet on the day of the activity. You will complete the payment directly to him/her. 

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).
