Visit to the oil mill, harvesting and tasting in Ruvo

Description

Live a unique experience among olive groves to discover olive oil, from harvesting to the transformation of the famous green gold. Ours is a small oil mill and for four generations our family has kept the art of transforming olives in oil, and many things have remained exactly as they were originally. We respect our agricultural landscape, the rural culture of our land and the strategic importance of our olive trees for our food. We continue to collect the olives with our hands and squeeze them cold in the ancient stone millstone.

You can choose two sensorary journeys: 

Tasting – lasts 2 hours, you will visit the olive grove and (during the pressing months ) you will be able to assist in all the processes of transformation of olives into oil. At the end of the experience there will be a tasting where you can taste the true flavor of our extra virgin olive oil. 

Harvest and lunch – In the 6-hours experience you will take part in the harvest yourself, and at the end we will have lunch together with typical products, all seasoned with our precious olive oil. We are waiting for you!

This activity is managed by multiple organizers, according to their availability, we will provide you with all the additional information when you contact us for the reservation.

Costs

– €20 euros per person, with n. minimum of 2 participants max 20 for the tasting experience with the duration of 2.00hrs. 

– €60 euros per person, with n. minimum of 4 participants max 15 for the harvest and lunch experience with the duration of 6.00hrs.

Starting time

Time and day to be agreed with the organizer. Experience available throughout the year, the period of October and November is suggested. For the experience that includes lunch, for organizational reasons it is necessary to book a week in advance.

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
