Local cheese workshop in Ceglie Messapica

Description

Join a traditional cheese-making workshop in an authentic trullo in Ceglie Messapica, set in the Apulian countryside.

During the experience, you will discover the traditional methods of local cheese production, with a hands-on demonstration that changes according to the season. In winter, the focus is mainly on pecorino and, when available, fresh ricotta; in summer, on cacio ricotta, with the possibility of also exploring the preparation of burrata and stracciatella.

Guided step by step, you will follow all stages of the process, from curdling to shaping. At the end of the workshop, you will take home a small cheese wheel made during the experience.

After the production phase, you will enjoy a tasting of the freshly made products, followed by a light lunch featuring dairy products paired with fresh ingredients such as tomatoes and arugula.

An experience designed for those who want to discover Apulian cheese-making from the inside, in an authentic and intimate setting away from mass tourism.

The prices for the experience are:

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).
