Dive into an authentic journey through Puglian cheese-making tradition! Accompanied by an expert guide, you’ll explore a local farm, discovering every step of the artisanal production of mozzarella and its derivatives.

You’ll start in the barn, admiring the cows and calves, then move to the milking room and milk production area, learning the secrets of the complete supply chain. In the dairy, you’ll watch the cheesemaker at work live: from stretching the fresh curd prepared that morning to crafting mozzarella, burrata, scamorza, and braided pasta filata, observing ancient techniques passed down through generations.

The experience culminates in the aging cellar, followed by a delightful aperitif under an outdoor gazebo. You’ll receive a picnic basket with bread, focaccia, and fresh cheeses for a moment of taste and relaxation immersed in the Puglian countryside. A unique sensory experience that blends education, tradition, and authentic flavors.

Additionally, upon request and subject to availability check during booking, you can actively participate in making your own mozzarella, getting your hands in the dough for an even more immersive adventure.

Pricing

The cost is €32 per person, with a maximum of 30 people per group.

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours and generally takes place at 9:30 AM or 11:45 AM.

The organizers speak mainly in English.
For the private mozzarella making experience, German and French can be spoken, too.

How to book

💳- You will pay a deposit with PayPal or card. Activities in PlacenPeople are sold directly by the Organizers.

👍- You and the Organizer will talk by phone and meet on the day of the activity. You will complete the payment directly to him/her. 

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).

This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case of unfavorable weather, the organizer can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, will cancel it (with full refund).
