Hiking in the Dune Costiere natural park

Description

The Regional Natural Park of the Coastal Dunes is the protected area of the Ostuni area, covering approximately 1,100 hectares for almost 8 km of coastal dunes which extends from the Pilone area to Torre Canne.

The wetland of Fiume Morelli is an area of great interest equipped with bridges, benches and paths for fruition. Here, inside the coastal ponds that make up the wetland, it is possible to observe various species of migratory birds resting and admire the system of sand dunes along the coast crossing beaches of rare beauty.

Some paths run parallel to the watercourse and, thanks to some small bridges, it is possible to visit the area in safety. Other important things are the ancient fishing system used since the past centuries and a unique specimen of centuries-old juniper.

The itinerary is of low difficulty as the route is entirely flat and the paths are easy. The duration is about 3 hours, it is also possible to ask for a long version, lasting 6-7 hours, with a small additional cost.

Costs 

The price starts from €30 per person for the 3-hour itinerary up to a maximum of 30 people. It is also possible to ask for a long version lasting 6-7 hours with a small additional cost.

The starting time can be agreed with the organizer. The duration is approximately 3 hours.

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).
