Trekking excursion in Gravina

Description

Explore Gravina, the High Murgia National Park. With its canyons and archaeological sites it is one of the perfect destinations for trekking in Puglia. 

The route for beginners will last 2 hours: it starts from the historic center of Gravina, to cross the arches of the famous Ponte della Gravina or Ponte Acquedotto, the necropolis peuceta, the original rock habitat of the Complex of the Seven Rooms and a visit to discover the secrets of the ancient Grotta del Casaro. 

The route for experts will last 4 hours and will extend for about 7km. It starts from the municipal area of Gravina to admire the archeology of the territory: from the areas of the necropolis, to the customs and habits of the ancients Peuceti people. A journey through the centuries to discover the evolution of the territory and populations.

Costs 

The cost for the beginners route is €13 per person 

The cost for the experts route is € 18 per person 
Anything not mentioned is excluded. Children up to 5 years enter for free, and some organizers apply a discount between 6 and 10 years.  

Starting time

The departure time is arranged by the organizer, and depends on the weather conditions. In any case it is important to show up 15 min before the departure time. Departures are between April and September.

How to get there

The departure is from Gravina. We recommend arriving at least 10-15 minutes earlier than departure time. After booking it will be possible to speak by phone for more details. 

Requirements

For the experts route hiking boots are required and we recommend comfortable clothing for beginners.

How to book

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
