Rickshaw Tour in Taranto

Description

It is nicknamed the City of the Two Seas, due to its peculiar position straddling the Great and Small Seas. The city is divided into three parts: the ancient village or old town is located on an island, connected at one end with a bridge called “stone bridge” and at the other end of the island through the swing bridge which leads to the “Borgo Umbertino”. In the first one, near the Cheradi Islands, in front of the city, a historical population of dolphins and other cetaceans lives and thrives; in the second one, mussel farming has been practiced for centuries and on a large scale, whose products are known worldwide for their uniqueness

Organization of the tour

The rickshaw carries up to 3 people and is equipped with a canopy. Min 1 max 4 rickshaws (12 people) and min 2 people per rickshaw. We will meet at the agreed point, and we will take a tour of the most beautiful points of the ancient village and the village Umbertino.

Costs (and inclusions)

– STANDARD PRICE: the participation fee for this tour is € 25 per person with a minimum of 2 people. The commented tour through the streets of Taranto is included in the cost, while anything else is excluded (snacks, lunch, tickets, souvenirs, etc.).

– CHILDREN: PlacenPeople organizers apply a total discount for children up to 3 years old, while the payment is half the fee up to 11 years old, with a minimum payment of two adult rates. Children aged 12 and over are considered adults.

Possible extra variations:

– PRIVATE TOUR: the standard tour is for groups, so other people can join. If you wish to take a private tour, no one else will have access to your booking at your time.

– LANGUAGES: There is an audio guide on board, and the drivers speak Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.

Duration and Period

The tour lasts 1 hour, starting from 10 in the morning to 20 in the evening, from March 1st to November 9th, however by prior arrangement it can also be done in other periods.

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd).
