Margherita di Savoia salt pans birdwatching
Visit with us an unspoiled land and come into direct contact with nature. During this tour to the wetland and the salt pan of Margherita di Savoia you will have the opportunity to see more than 100 species of birds, including the pink flamingo, which is the symbol of this town.
The tour starts from the Salt Museum where you will hear about the history of salt, salt pan, and Margherita di Savoia. After that, you will reach the salt workers’ village, a few kilometers from the town, where you can admire a tower probably dating back to 1536 and from which you can do birdwatching and a laboratory of volcanic sand. Here you will taste the products of our land: carrots and onions with a sweet and unmistakable taste. We will then go near the mountain of salt and we will reach one of the basins, we will take some brine and you will have the unique opportunity to make a skin scrub, which will make it as smooth as ever!
Costs
The price is €19 per person. It is possible to request an interpreter for a small additional cost when booking.

Cancellation
By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
