The Apulian karst terrain is the basis for the formation of many caves that make the landscape of this region particular and characteristic.

Are you intrigued by something more unexplored, off the beaten path? Come and discover the fascinating world of cave excursions, wear a helmet and an adventurous spirit and let yourself be led to the discovery of surprising hidden worlds! No special equipment and no experience is required, you’ll explore the underground world in complete safety with the expert guides and caving instructors of PlacenPeople community. Among alabaster rooms, tunnels and concretions, paths will unfold in front of you and you’ll admire wild sites with unexpected shapes and colors, in an exciting journey through unspoiled nature and the history of an underground world to be discovered.

Costs

The fee per person is € 25, for most of our organizers in Puglia, and includes the use of a helmet provided by our team’s instructor. If needed, a suit or torch will also be provided.

Starting time

The exploration of the cave takes about 1 hour, and can be done in the morning or in the afternoon. The starting time is flexible and can be agreed with the organizer at the time of booking.

How to get there

The cave is located a short distance from Castellana, and can be reached by car.

Language

The organizers speak Italian. A translator can be available in english for a small additional cost.
