Cooking class (orecchiette) and dinner in Bari

Description

In this cooking class you will immerse yourself in the home environment of a real and authentic Bari woman, who will show you her wisdom in creating a food that everyone associates with Bari: orecchiette (kind of pasta). The lesson will take place at home, and at the beginning you will learn the basics of semolina and flour, then you will also put your hands in the dough starting from the “trombatura” (kneading) of the mass, up to try yourself at making the legendary orecchiette from Bari. The fresh pasta you will be able to make will be the real reward for your commitment! Everything will end naturally at the table, having dinner together after having cooked the orecchiette, which can be tasted with “cime di rapa” (turnip tops, if in season) or with tomato sauce; we will also taste other products that can be taralli and local olives, seasonal crudités, water, wine, coffee or rosoli (Italin liqueurs).

Costs 

The cost is € 57 per person with a minimum of 2 people. At the end of the workshop, the tasting of what has been prepared is included.

Starting time

The experience begins in the morning at 11, in the afternoon at 18, which is a couple of hours before the time to sit at the table. However, it will be the organizer to communicate the exact start time during the booking phase. How to get there

Our organizers are located in Bari Vecchia or in the city center (in places that can be easily reached on foot). After booking, however, you will contact the organizer by telephone to make a specific appointment, and eventually reach the place of the dinner/lesson together. Some organizers may even give a small free ride by car.

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
