Monopoli is a beautiful coastal city in Puglia, known for its crystal clear waters and fresh fish.
Among the different types of fish we find sardines, large pelagics (tuna, swordfish), bluefin tuna, cod, vope, red mullet, cuttlefish, shrimp.
This activity includes two ways of fishing:
Rod fishing and professional fishing with “longlines”.
The Palamito commonly called longline is one of the oldest fishing tools. A trap for catching fish both on the surface and in depth.
The Palamito is a particular type of tool with hooks used above all in southern Italy, ideally used for fishing for sea bream and white bream. However, longline fishing is generally an activity that is carried out with limited energy consumption and is very respectful of resources, being a highly selective fishing method.
Rod fishing trip: €55 per person
Longline fishing trip: €90 per person
Rod fishing trip: 3 and a half hours
Longline fishing trip: it starts early in the morning (around 4 AM) and lasts 4 hours.
