Kayak tour in Taranto with WWF guide

Description

Everyone knows that Taranto is called the “city of two seas”. In this kayak tour we will discover the so-called “Mar Piccolo”: in the tour we visit the three hot spots in the center of the swamp “la vela”, the mussel gardens and the reserve. There are double and triple canoes for families, with 2 adult seats and 1 child. We recommend beachwear, with open shoes, hat, sunscreen and water; it is also good to bring a spare.

On request, will be accompanied by WWF guides to show us the wonders of the flora and fauna of the Mare Piccolo of Taranto.

Costs 

*The cost is € 25 per person, and includes the canoe and the guided tour. Any accessories (sunscreen, hats, snacks, etc.) and anything else are excluded.

Starting time

The departure time is in the morning at 9.00 or 12.00. The departures also depend on the weather conditions. In any case, it is important to arrive 10 minutes before the start. Departures take place from April to December, but only on Saturdays and Sundays. Outside these days there may be availability, but a small surcharge is required.

How to get there

We will leave from the Battendieri pier on the small sea. Up to 4 people, on request it is possible to have a small free car ride (within the taranto area). After booking we will be able to make direct telephone contacts for further details and directions.

Language

The organizers speak Italian. For English language it is recommended to book a little bit in advance.

How to book

Cancellation

By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
