Description
The Apulian cuisine – already for its agricultural tradition – offers a wide choice of dishes based on pasta, vegetables, fish, legumes and fresh cheeses. In this cooking lesson our organizers will reveal the secrets of Apulian cuisine. The courses are always held in traditional places, such as a country house surrounded by vast areas cultivated with olive trees, figs and almonds, or an ancient house with a large balcony and a beautiful view. On request, some PlacenPeople organizers are also available to move around with all the material, and the lesson can also be done in the kitchen of your holiday home (the course is open up to a maximum of 8 people, but additional guests can be added for lunch).
The day will start early in the morning by shopping with the market, to learn how to choose and use the best seasonal products. The visit to the market is followed by a three-hour practical cooking lesson during which you will create a complete menu, from appetizer to dessert, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and traditional methods of cooking them, such as fire and oven. wood.
Each cooking lesson’s dish will be introduced by a family story or a local tradition: for example, you will learn how to make the typical orecchiette as do Apulian grandmothers and mothers every Sunday in the kitchens of their families. The Apulian cuisine will amaze you with its simplicity and its unmistakable flavors. Each dish will be a feast of fresh seasonal products, cooked with creativity to make them tasty and transformed into dishes full of taste and tradition.

Costs
The cost is € 70 per person and includes the visit to the market, the cooking class, and the final lunch.
Starting time
Preferably the course takes place in the morning, however the time can be agreed with the Organizer at the time of booking. The course is available all year round.
How to get there
The place where the activity takes place is not far from Grottaglie, between the high Salento and the Valle d’Itria. After booking, the organizer will contact the guest to indicate exactly the meeting place.

The organizers speak Italian, English and German.

Cancellation
By completing the payment, you agree to the Terms of Use. In case of cancellation, only the deposit is lost. Cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before midnight on the date of the activity by writing to PlacenPeople and the Organizer (e.g. activities on July 5th, cancellation possible until July 3rd). This activity depends on the weather conditions: in case the organizer judges the ctivity not feasible, he can propose to postpone it or, if impossible, can cancel it (with full refund).
